    @Justis - thanks for that good advice - I didn't know about salt and air tight container!! - will definitely try it out, but not before Easter.
    I'lll also tell my daughter, as she made a fairly tasty and toasted sandwich with mackerel (from a tin) and I didn't like he mackerel, but remember eating it freshly caught on one of those Yugoslav islands and it was soooo delicious.

    I used to like cod for breakfast when I was working in that hospital in England, but that was dried or salted, any rate, it was yellow and quite chewy! - I haven't eaten it since - but do like fresh cod - delicious!! Coles sometimes has cod from the north of W.A. - $50/kilo!
