beef cheeks are tough meat, but cook very well in the slow cooker.
Apparently, these can also be cooked well in the pressure cooker, but not tried that out as it may not work. hence, I use the slow cooker for cheaper cuts of beef which turn out tasty and tender from the slow cooker.
That's my winter frugal way of cooking.
Frugality is certainly, however, not a strength of mine. indeed, the opposite. however, if I can think of anything I have done/do which saves money, I will contribute.
