I hate ..it was all that was left...anyway everything I made turned into an ash-tray though in my defence I spent most of the classes out side on the bench because back in the 70s we had long hair and without a hair-net ...No Metal Work !! I spent many a fine day dreaming on that bench ) anyway ...just some memories ...lets see if this works?

Lovely memories of school

I must admit that I only enjoyed a few subjects. English, Art, Religious instruction????, French, Cooking, Sewing,
Music, oh yes the triangle, what a scream. My school was such a dump that the triangle and recorder were considered the only instruments which we were taught.

Even though the boys were taught domestic science, us girls were not allowed to do woodwork.
But I made up for that when I had my first job as a GPO telephonist in London and we had one day a week to go to college, we could choose any subject.
My naughty friends and I chose to go to Brixton college to do woodwork, just so we could flirt with the boys........slap.

It sounds as if perhaps you were a Bay City Rollers fan, being in the 70's with long hair, perhaps not lol.
My brother made a coffee table for my Mum, I believe it is still in the family.
Oh yes Cornish pasties, they were so delicious, we often made those as well.

We never had homework, what was that?
