It's the heritage breeds that sell for top dollars, we have a number of breeders over here but only one vaccinates their day old chicks and they sell for $15. 8 weeks they cost $30 and over $60 for pullets.
Other breeders sell day old chicks for $10, and some sell fertile eggs $20-30 a dozen. Problem with both these options is that at least half will turn out to be roosters.
