Interestingly, my internet clothes buying obsession lead me to view some winter shirts for women. It arrived a couple of hours ago on my lawn. OK, I am taking a risk that I buy the wrong size or don't like it when I feel the fabric. However, I LOVE IT.
It is going to be cosy and wonderful over the winter. It is kind of flannelette but with a big difference. 100% brushed cotton is very cosy but this company has brushed it on both the inside and outsite of the fabric. WOW! Not a cheap shirt, but well worth the price.
Fits beautifully, and I can wear it with my short jackets so that I have a fashionable shirt tail hanging below. It has slits on both seams at its base.
If I had been a shop, I would never have even tried on such a garment.
This is why I love to shop on the internet.....
Anyway, Margaret, I think brushed cotton is very underestimated as an extremely warm, comfortable fabric and, what's more, it has all the features of a natural fibre which beats the synthetics hands-down.
