I have a friend who cooks Asian style as her background is Indian. It is she who has been stressing to me my need for cooking with ginger, in order to resolve my throat issue. She sometimes cooks in my place, but sometimes I am not impressed probably because she can't find in my pantry those products she has in her own home. I have been googling and apparently lemon, a little honey, and ginger, very good for the winter lurgy, as you say Taurisk. Also, apparently the same can make a wonderful summer drink when soda water is used to get a sparkly refreshing drink. I love ginger in syrup, but I know it is absolutely full of sugar and can rarely stop at a single piece. Buderim ginger marmalade, aerated drinks, etc all yum but too much sugar.....
