Oh, it is stripped off live animals (doesn't hurt them apparently) and then spun into yarn. It's likely to be the softest of wool from the back and not under the animal. Usually from rabbits, or cashmere from goats. Wonder how many hundred of $$$s for sufficient yarn to make a cardie???? Would be a challenge to care for also. I reckon a little girl would love a fluffy warm cardie from that wool though...
