the Scots that went to Ireland were protestants i think and settled in the North or there abouts...my ancestors were protestants on that side ..when ever i meet Irish and say my name they usually say ..your from the north....
..my grandfather (Methodist minister) apparently used to say the Scots civilised the Irish..lol...got no idea what he meant by that..lol
