@thenetwork - it would be nice if you could explain the different fuels used in planes - I had no idea, but just had a look on Wiki-pedia and found out various things the general public does not know - I am assuming you were involved in control functions, possibly with a chemistry background? so that the standard specifications are met.
Differences between Jet A and Jet A-1
The primary difference is the lower freezing point of A-1:
Jet A's is −40 °C (−40 °F)
Jet A-1's is −47 °C (−53 °F)
