@Joannie - I have written about this before: I did take the guided tour of the cemetery - it was run by volunteers. They were eccentrics - but doing good - people who actually looked after the habitat in this undisturbed cemetery (then - this was years ago!) and he explained that many rare plant species survive, as well as an unusual collection of animals you would not normally find in a city, had also made the cemetery their home.
I was then a socialist - and was totally shocked when shown the grave of Karl Marx - it was the ugliest thing I had ever seen and it is stuck in my memory forever.
I now think it is a metaphor for so many male philosophers, 'it's all in their head' and when it comes to practical execution they fail miserably.
