Hi
@Joannie - I am so glad you are 'being active' or are planning to be so pro-active! Keep going! Full marks!!!
- I have to do a lot of 'self-talk' and self 'care' atm - having had another death in the family, even though she lived overseas and we didn't see one another often. 'She' was my husband's older sister - we did lots of fun things together when young, went to England together and when visiting on the odd overseas trip. She had a sweet, youthful and grateful nature and she was a lady in the true sense of the word.
Married to a man who was very charming but very difficult with it; he always flirted with anything female in her presence, had an affair with his secretary for a number of years (I would have been out of there
in a flash) - and she kept her dignity, her pose, kept a beautiful home (2 children) - all her life, even though her 'way of being' became a 'pose' to me only, because I knew her so well.
It is amazing what some women will do for the man they love. On top of that she was the best private secretary, initially to a realtor eventually to a well-known professor and researcher at a Swiss university.
So I have been doing a lot of thinking, checking out old photographs to send to my niece and nephew and did a bit of crying, again, - but woke up very positive today - and - coming back to here - shall await further family counsel re a 'do' towards the end of August, which I am trying to gently shift to another date, because of
@Parsifal's planned visit.
If there is a meeting of HC internet 'souls' towards end of August: - would you be able to participate, even in a small way? No need to respond on here, you can call me, please, but not today, I have a very sore throat and can't talk atm - working on it - I am doing the usual: garlic and am about to paint some iodine on where 'once were tonsils' but are no more . .
Take care
