I would think that PDY would very much like to reject the deal but are limited in what they can do because they are a public listed company. I am not sure of the legalities but I guess this will need to go through the proper channels and have the proper explanatory letters / announcements attached to it.

You as a person can reject any deal personally. However the difference is you are not accountable to the ASX, ASIC and shareholders.
