OOO, the community schemes might seems irrelevant to some but when dealing with nations exposed to a history of European control, there is constant rhetoric in the sense that the locals will have their resources and it's benefits taken away from them. hence these relationship building exercises are critical to show that both parties can benefit. get the people on your side and it becomes easier to deal with the government. get the people off side and civil unrest descends. IMO what far does is standard and is required. clear ignorance of some holders about the way business is run and the psychology involved.
