    The food labelling laws in this country are an absolute joke.
    Because of the "free trade" agreement between New Zealand and China, China have a back door to Australia. Any food product or produce that is imported from New Zealand only has to state that it came from New Zealand, regardless of where New Zealand may have sourced the product from.
    China now exports a great deal or frozen vegetables into New Zealand for repackaging, to then be imported into Australia under the guise of New Zealand produce.

    I have simply stopped buying frozen veggies from the supermarkets. The last time I opened a pack of frozen peas from New Zealand and put them into boiling water, it smelt like sewage. I kid you not.

    It's back to all fresh veggies for me.
