I'll probably do a mixture of ideas on the thread. I've got a few off cut pieces so before trying on the real post I'll do some experiments and see the best way.

Ahh yes I just saw the "bench drill" and ran with that rather than also including just a hand drill. Silly me.

I'm more of a measure 10 times, check and then think is it still right. Something that should take a couple of seconds takes me a good 10minutes. Misses hate me for it as it takes to long but I'm in the mind set I don't want to stuff it up.
