You are probably right. I recently met with one of the VPs of CH-IV (a LNG consultant that is engaged by MLNG) and our conversation drifted to the use of ammonia as a refrigerent. He highlighted that ammonia has been used for this purpose extensively but not specifically in LNG liquifaction. It therefore became an issue of educating FERC for lack of a better expression.
Not withstanding CH-IV as well as the MLNG technical team has some work to do especially given the Christmas and New Years holidays upon us.
