Hi Mihal, The answers you recieved from the company are somewhat perplexing. Of concern is that F as an opencut mine is higher cost then a bord and pillar operation at PEN. Can't say i have seen that in 30 years around this industry. In regards to the blending if you sign a contract to supply you know your coal qualities you don't sell high cal stuff at lower value prices and its not up to you as a supplier to blend it back. The customer is usually happy to take the better quality and blend it themselves with cheaper lower grade power station here have been doing it for years.The only thing the customer doesn't want is high ash which as reported by the company earlier a lot of there product can be. I have one quetsion for the next time you are talking to the company Why bord and pillar for a shallow depth resource at Pen? Cheers, roidz
