Uranium is a handy price enhancer for a stock but rarely is the reaction as wholesale as that in RAWSON RESOURCES (RAW) yesterday. The company advised the ASX it had entered a joint venture with Geochemical Exploration Services of Texas to find commercial deposits of uranium in North America. The shares almost doubled, from 5.8c to 11c, and closed at 9c. We think the secret to the stock's immediate success was the plan to find "commercial deposits". There's no future in looking for uncommercial deposits.
