GML getting plenty of press..maybe the Ferret should read the HC posts!
"GATEWAY MINING (GML) could be a candidate for an ASX query.
The shares opened at 17.5c yesterday and went as high as 24c
before closing at 21.5c on turnover of 1.7 million shares, the busiest
day for more than 12 months.
The company's quarterly report was just one in the flood of
hundreds of announcements that hit the stock exchange to meet the
deadline on Friday.
Maybe the punters have only just noticed it.
Gateway was steady at 17c on Friday, the day of the
announcement, and steady at 17c on Monday.
The quarterly revealed Gateway had received notification from
Placer Dome Australia that it had satisfactorily completed its due
diligence on the Gidgee gold project.
Placer is to spend more than $4 million to earn 70 per cent of
selective area totalling 80 square kilometres, and must spend $400,000
within the first year and before it can exit.
"Priority drilling target at Victory Creek shows similarities to
Placer's Wallaby deposit in the Laverton Tectonic zone that contains a
total resource of 7.1 million ounces," Gateway said."
