re: huuuuuuuuuge copper resource : tiny mkt cap Seems to be a lot of misconceptions about PNG. Maybe some sensationalist stories about Port Moresby raskals etc, but even Moresby is nothing compared to Joh'burg, for example.

In the highlands a lot of people still live a fairly stone-age existance. There may be the occasional spear thrown, nothing that would interfere with a mining operation.

PNG government is fine - tribal allegiances play a part, but Michael Somare has been around forever, Aussie expats and citizens all through the bureaucracy and police. Its a different culture but miners seem to do pretty well there.

Anyway, up to you where to put your money. Its good enough for me.
