Actually the court order said 14 days from the date of the said order (3 August), so 18th is day after c.o.b for any follow up.

If you read the notice verbatim, it indicates that the if the applicant decides to lodge, they must notify the judges associate as soon as that decision has been made, in order to book in a case management session asap.
However, lawyers for big companies will probably wait till the last moment for lodging....that's how they like to operate, I know, I've seen it in the movies!!

Another observation, the case was, "Finalised - Dismissed By Consent". Doesn't consent mean both parties.
