Has taken hold , Merry Christmas to all.
Just some ramblings below which may be of interest to anyone invested here .

    Just my thoughts from memory ;
On the first planning vote Scotgold lost by 12 -10 . The 10 votes for Scotgold where from elected councilors with one councillor voting with the park to tip the scales that councillor was not re-elected.
On the second planning vote Scotgold won by 17 -0 . The park had less members on this board and was never going to win the vote .
The coming vote on the 24/6 plant will be made up from the people below, some are existing members from the last vote and some are new with the occasional one I can’t identify.
The Board of the National Park Authority has 17 members and is made up as follows:

Five members elected by a postal ballot of the local electorate on 3 July 2014 for a period of four years:
David McKenzie representing Ward 1 voted yes last time round
Owen McKee (Depute Convener) representing Ward 2 voted yes last time round
David Warnock representing Ward 3 voted yes , it was the most reluctant hand raise ever seen / ?
Willie Nisbet representing Ward 4 voted yes last time round
David McCowan representing Ward 5 voted yes last time round
Six members appointed by Scottish Ministers (following assessment of applicants in accordance with the rules issued by the Office of the Commissioner for Public Appointments in Scotland):
Linda McKay (Convener) voted yes last time round
Colin Bayes voted yes last time round
    Petra Biberbach ???
Lindsay Morrison voted yes last time round
Angus Allan voted yes last time round
    Position Vacant
Six members appointed by Scottish Ministers following nomination by the Local Authorities within National Park boundaries:
Councillor Fergus Wood (Stirling) was not in on the vote last time
Councillor Martin Earl (Stirling) was not in on the vote last time
Councillor Bob Ellis (Perth & Kinross) voted yes last time round
Councillor James Robb (Argyll & Bute) was not in on the vote last time
Councillor George Freeman (Argyll & Bute) ???
Councillor Hazel Sorrell (West Dunbartonshire Council) voted yes last time round
[10 yes votes with one reluctant hand , 2 unknowns and 4 new members )
As far as I can make out it will be passed even if the new members and the unknowns vote no along with the reluctant hand it will be 9-7 ,or maybe 16-0 who knows !
    Only time will tell.
