Nice as a little help from Government is, our long term future as a technology is dependent on actual progress in demonstrating the technical feasibility / practicallity, environmental sustainability and economics of the hot rock process. Government subsidies and interest is fickle and not to be counted upon. We need a result that keeps costs down and makes the technology economically compelling.
I am a lot more interested in the upcoming fraccing results than a temporary boost to the s.p. caused by the expectation that the Feds are about to shower renewables with our own tax dollars.
