BRENDAN Fevola says he has been contacted by AFL clubs about a possible comeback.
Fevola, who kicked 105 goals playing for the Yarrawonga Pigeons this season, says his management has fielded calls from AFL clubs.
This time 12 months ago Fevola pushed his case for another shot in the AFL after spending the 2011 season playing for the Casey Scorpions in the VFL. There were no takers and Fev headed bush.
The former Carlton star has not played AFL since 2010, when he booted 48 goals in a troubled stint at the Brisbane Lions which ended with his sacking in February 2011.
Fevola said this morning he had not given up hope of an AFL return.
"There has been a bit of talk to my management," he said on Nova FM this morning.
Asked which clubs had made the calls, he said "There's a few teams ... but it's very unlikely."
