the more important point is that Labor has won the MAJORITY of two party-preferred votes. Yes, in the marginals, the so-called "difference: in the number of seats is small, but, the important things is, and I say it again, that overall Labor has won a majority of the 2PP, unlike the coalition which during the election was saying that they could win with 48% of the 2PP by winning enough number of the marginals.
I would rather see a party winning government by winning a MAJORITY of the 2PP than by winning a minority of the overall votes but winning more seats which was the case in one of Howard's earlier "wins".
