in terms of finding what to research, I find twitter a great source for leads. there is a decent investor community on there and the well known posters love to tell you whats on their radar. some will continuously pump whatever their holding, others take a 'fishing with dynamite' approach and buy everything, so have no shortage of success stories. either way it will keep you busy with things to research
based on what you are looking for i think MGT might be up your alley. current price might be a bit high for you but it should have some pullback before production
