The feasibility study was done at $78
The targets being talked about on FEX (77c latest going around) are still a lot lower than the current IO price -
they are based on reasonable forward forecasts based on all factors
if the SP assumed the IO price stayed up here the MC would be pushing a $1b. No one thinks that obviously.
the Africa thing is just the Chinese trying to jawbone the price down. They are years away. They’re just desperate to cool speculation because it’s crunching the profitability of their steel.
