I wonder if you sat someone down back in early August......someone, say, as noble as you .....and said “Look we think you should put all your money into BHP - it’s trading at $52 after a bit of a run but don’t worry about that ...the point is they’re undergoing a transformative process to serve the needs of the planet. You’ll feel really good about owning this stock....it’s so ethical - I mean you’ll be able to tell all your friends at every dinner party and bbq you go to how warm and fuzzy and ethical it makes you feel......I should point out however that it will probably trade down to $35 before long .....and then down to $15 by the time the superfunds have finished bullying it into offloading anything that has a sniff of environmental impact.....we think longer term it will actually just be a potash company worth about 4 bucks ....but hey saving the planet is worth it right? .....this really is a wonderful feel good ethical investment - you in ?
