Can't argue with that, I made another post saying the main reason I sold was the casual wording of the gas show announcement with absolutely no details. I still would have sold a large majority of what I still had left in though on a 51m gas column. I was in for oil, not gas.
Hell, I would have sold a portion on an oil announcement too of course, just in case it came back non commercial... And then if it came back commercial I'd sell even more into the excitement. It's all about derisking and stages of taking profit.

Although the shows ann was sparse and they should have given us a lot more info, they might have only felt confident about the size of the column after the wireline logs.
