Good questions Ronny. I hope our contributors with more knowledge than us can clarify the situation. With time running out re emission reduction to my mind Santos should slow/stop expensive wildcat exploration and start pumping what they know is there ie Dorado. Dorado is a good fit to backfill Varanus Island gas. I don't care if it's gas, oil or both. Preferably both. STO has a huge investment in Dorado etc and it would be dumb to have it as a stranded asset. They are hoarding cash whereas other oil/gas companies are pumping madly and returning free cash flow to shareholder. Just look at what WDS is doing with dividends now.
