There is an ongoing debate as to whether CVN should be exploring new opportunities or just conserve cash until Dorado FID.

CVN said at their AGM

"Carnarvon has been assessing new opportunities to add nearer term production and earnings
generative assets. Carnarvon’s focus is being directed towards asset opportunities that are within our “wheelhouse” of
knowledge and expertise."

At that time CVN knew that they couldn't afford to sit back and wait for FID and were looking for other opportunities.

I can't find anything in the announcements since then to say that strategy is off the table.

In the presentation after the Dorado sell down they do seem to be allocating all $178m cash to Dorado? (slide 10)

Has CVN departed from its original strategy to seek out "nearer term production" and is now putting all its efforts in Dorado FID?
