I think the light bulb is starting to turn on here for some people. MSC cells are in over 600 trials around the world. All of which use costly, timely and non consistent manufacturing methods for their production. CYP cells overcome this production problem. The only problem to solve is proving they are as good, if not better than the current cells being used in these trials. Easiest way to prove, take a disease target that is already proven responsive to MSC, and has product to market. Trial CYP cells on it.... if they work and don’t cause harm, end of game for the old costly manufacturing methods. Better yet, the read out time for GVHD is very quick! It is now tantilisingly close to proof of safety and efficacy....... cohort B enrolment anyday now. Anyone thinking of going through trials of a stem cell product would be stupid not to license CYP If cohort B comes up goods. The question will be, who will pull the trigger first and how soon? Will Fuji go early or not......
