Previous managment has nothing to do with curent managment or the direction the company is currently taken so your point is not valid.
Alex is proving up a resouces and trying to lead the company into production, which isn't easy and few explorers do.
Having HP on board is a major step in the right direction but bringing them into production doesn't happen over night.
