Fierce clashes in Somali capital for seventh day
Mogadishu 13 May. 06 ( Sh.M.Network) Fresh fighting used with heavy and light weapons has today restarted at Sisi area in north Mogadishu, with overnight mortar shells exchanged by both rival sides.
The clashes between militia of warlords and Islamic militiamen entered in its seventh day as sounds of artillery fires could be heard and rocked the northern Mogadishu villages, while the warring parts dismissed the calls for ceasefire.
Shabelle reporters who went to the battle areas say the clashes resumed overnight in Lafwein and Sisi villages in north Mogadishu, where the rivals militia group are fighting for the control of the capital.
The reporters say stray mortar shell crashed into Sisi market wounding two persons.
At least seven people have been killed and dozens more injured in he fresh clashes which erupted overnight and still continues in the area.
