RRS is exploring in a different state, and they are certainly not exploring in a city. They are out in the middle of the country somewhere looking for oil and other minerals, where they have all said its quite safe, furthermore, the state they are in have welcomed them.
Its a bit like saying its dangerous on the wheatbelt of the darling downs in Qld because there are riots happening in Cronulla in Sydney. Its exactly the same comparison.
If you bothered to take note of the security personnell employed by range. You might actually have noticed that they really didn't have anything in the way of security to actually do in Puntland ... it was peaceful there.
I've said it once .. I've said it many times .. the sovereign risk of Somalia and in particular of Puntland is quite low. the 'perceived' risk is high, but i believe the 'actual' risk is low. Hence I hold. And hence all of the positive deals that RRS has been making.
to be honest, the only real risk that i see for Range, is the quality and quantity of the minerals present in Puntland. I know the minerals will be there, I just hope the market is not disappointed with the quality and quantity. But at the same time, my gut feel is that the market will be pleasantly surprised.
