9lives, my thinking exactly, including the swing of the pendulum back from left side of politics to the right. I've always wondered whether the depression will lead to an extreme left wing or extreme right wing style environment. Too early to tell but at the end of the day it matter little as the results for the markets are pretty much the same - centralised ownership of just about everything. Won't be good for the markets IMHO.
