Just a couple of points on the video, firstly prices down 23% this year and 50% from the 2022 peak. What is not pointed out is that peak was a spike and shown as unsustainable, natural prices have been fairly flat over the last decade apart from the spike so it is a bit misrepresentative.
Compared to LGD (factory diamonds) these prices are at least 90% lower and despite what was said still seem to be going lower.
Is their a risk that factory diamonds continue to eat into the market and impact natural prices, yes! But as the LGD prices fall they are starting to be used in fashion/costume jewellery and do people want something made in a factory or something created a billion years ago hundreds of km's below the earths surface in their fine jewellery.
We will have to wait and see on that one.
