SEN sells network encryption. This protects information travelling across the network.
when you visit a website with SSL/TLS a similar process happens, so anybody intercepting your message can’t unscramble it.
SEN network encryption does this on a massive scale, protecting links between, for example, the London and New York offices of a company, or the network between military bases.
This would allow gigabits of bandwidth to be protected, and is necessary for secure internal communications, and protects against somebody intercepting the transmission in the telecommunications network, and also across the Internet if used.
It is a level of security that is very high, and suitable for organisations operating in unsecured areas (an embassy, for example) or where opponents are very sophisticated (e.g. Microsoft’s internal communications protection).
The older way of doing this is to make a special, fast computer built into a network card and have one at each end. This is SEN’s older product. The new ‘virtual’ encrypter takes the software off that special fast computer and makes it run on a normal computer/server, including one in a cloud data centre.
This has a number of benefits, but a major one is improved costs, as SEN no longer has to design hardware, and scalability, as they can sell many copies of the software for no extra outlay.

For customers, there are advantages in manageability, and likely costs as well.
