I appreciate the time you have taken, but with all due respect, you found out today and only emailed Maria today, so why publish this now? Maria is likely being busy in Europe. Could you not have waited a day or two to actually give her time to reply? Maybe she hasn't even seen your email.
Also, who is this Hugh? If you already go as far as calling the company, why not speak to the CEO yourself? You said her number is public.
But this Hugh is saying his company would "presumably" have the exclusive rights, and you take his word for granted?
As makka said, maybe their contract expired, and we don't know anything about their contract details anyway.
