Its funny how the market operates. Just before Suncorps massive profit upgrade last week, it was not hard to notice heavy trading in the companys stock.
On Friday we were told that the company expected its half year result to be "materially higher" than analysts forecasts of between $375-388 million.
In the lead up to the announcement the shares rose by 70 cents, or 4 per cent before finishing the week at $19.06.
Peter Morgan of 452 Capital summed it up best when he said: "It was either smart buying or something else".
