I recall a price estimate for low volume production of Bluegen at around $20-$30k - I think it was in some Nomura Code analysis that i saw early this year. I will check this...

Whether this figure is still relevant is open to debate, but no, Bluegen won't be cheap for early adopters. However such people will generally pay a premium for the priviledge and esteem of owning the latest green technologu... think of the early Prius.

There has been no misrepresatation re. the price of $8k as it has always been quoted as a full production run price.
