It will take a lot more than 30 cents for the major shareholders to move aside. And I doubt they would go for less than 35-40 cents.
If it is AWE, or someone similar, perhaps they simply see a very cheap entry to a whole lot of Tui/Taranaki exposure.
Whoever it is, they certainly are very determined at 28 cents and will be mopping up a lot of disaffected shareholders at that price.
No need for a buyback with the price at 28 cents.
