Exactly, the likes of John Shapiro jumped out of the blocks to present BRN as an overhyped pump and dump in 2020, clearly having not bothered to do any research, I believe they do this with a lot of companies just to be able to claim they saw it coming when a stock does turn out to be a dud.
Anyhow, the disclosure criticism is ridiculous, a foreign company mentions they are looking to use Akida, but no dollar value, no sales contracts signed, what are BRN supposed to announce.
Meanwhile there has been no "please explain" from the ASX, so I presume the AFR are just as confused about the ASX disclosure rules as everyone else is.
