Quite the opposite, if there is money to be made im always happy to take a position even if it is at a premium. Let the stock price double in a day, if the carats are as you say of a better quality then i will have no issue valuing the company and its return.
The difference here is that i am not exposing myself to any risk, most of my profits have been realised in the anticipation. If i am wrong and the rubies are worth significantly more, i have no issue taking leverage to catch up with my position. Likewise if i am right, i will short this puppy on open and close the position when it bottoms.
