So... I guess we do have Snowy Hydro in NSW, and I guess we have the expansion potential for hydropower. But, why the heck would they choose hydropower when it is just as bad as Fossil Fuel technology in terms of the life-cycle emissions produced? The answer is that the Government can pretend to take action on climate change, when the average person thinks that Hydropower has very low emissions. Which means they might be able to hold voters or gain new voters for the next election. Why can't the NSW Government use their brain and at the very least listen to their federal counter parts.

Meanwhile, the person they should be listening to says Gas and Hydrogen are the way of the future... I'm sure they will come to their senses eventually. We can sort of already predict it will be. We have tried so hard to make a battery system powerful enough to power a city, yet we have not been able to. Instead Hydrogen could be that "battery".

So I agree with Joe Biden's advisors and Cathy Foley CSIRO chief scientist, and Australia's chief scientist, that low emission technologies like gas and hydrogen are the way of the future.
