trendee, I agree with a lot of your post.
But I remember in the days before the GFC every second service station and every shopping mall had young people greeting you at the door and offering applications for credit cards that they said would be guarenteed to be succesful.

The banks etc were trying to flog credit as it was their only means for "growth" and it was a hard sell attitude.

But I agree, every individual is responsible for the choices they make. Its just seems to me sometimes however that the banks etc pray on the weak willed and poeple with little self control in the name of growing their business.
