My view on shortsellers is that firstly to make money they need to find a stock that has a lot of retail investors so that they can create a doom, gloom and boom narrative on various platforms, such as Hot Copper etc. Once identifying such a stock they borrow from hedge and institutional funds, sell the stock, create the narrative and then close their positions. Once their positions are closed they create a narrative of boom, suck in retail investors and then repeat the process. I don't believe short sellers are the mum and dad retail investors but are more likely entities connected to hedge funds, future exchanges, brokers and anyone else who can create a narrative for the retail investor to believe.

My opinion on PLS is that it is way undervalued and I feel it should be closer to the $15 per share mark than where it is, so every time the shortsellers cause a drop I buy and hold. I'm looking at holding for at least 5 years so no short seller is closing their position with my shares. I do however hope that one day the shortsellers create a massive boom narrative and I'm quick enough to sell and take my profits.
