    yep, resource is shallow and the ground is soft (enough), mining would not be expensive. once the beneficiation process gets sorted then yep its viable. until/without that process it aint viable.

    dr ruane apparently had expressed interest in selling julia creek to xtrata (i guess xtrata named specifically because they own the old Mt Isa Mines). i share your view, even at current beat down prices there are many hundreds of billions of dollars sitting in the ground, would be a shame to sell it for a pittance.

    nothing firm will happen to develop this mine for at least a year, perhaps two, given how much the wind has gone out of the commodities supercycle. but this i think will suit IRC's timing nicely, by then we should be ready to rock and roll, can pull in evraz/noble/south african vanadium miner for a JV and off we go (or if the processing plant don't cost too much then the Menzies money might pay for it...)
