Axiomax, I think u've mis-interpreted Dhukka. His/her intent seemed to be that PE and the like is useful only when taking into consideration the "bigger picture". One ratio is one part of a story.
In other words, a company PE 8 that might have flat to negative earnings for a couple of years plus uncertain future prospects is more "expensive" than a company PE 30 that is looking at 30% or whatever growth for a few years.
I think that was the intent.
