Thanks pennynut, I can see the salt works clearly on Google Earth. Obviously evaporation is very feasible for at least some operations.
I merely posted weather data and noticed at least one person gave me a Tdown, not a good indication of the shareholder base IMO. Evaporation appears to be seasonal or at least slows down in winter months, how does this sit with the assumedly constant output of the plant. What rate of evaporation can be achieved, the slat pans look very large on Google Earth, a lot larger than the land they have for their ponds. These are probably the simple questions being asked by councils, potential investors.
